When disaster strikes, the whole community is affected. Community organizations, individuals, local officials, and the private sector are all impacted and trying to recover as quickly as possible. For businesses, this isn’t just a matter of returning to normalcy, it’s a matter of profitability and in many cases, survival. 40% of businesses affected by disasters never reopen, so the stakes are high. Having an emergency plan can help businesses survive a disaster and even reopen their doors faster. Representatives from FEMA will explain what an emergency plan is, how you can develop one for your small business, and what resources are available to help. You’ll get valuable information to help increase your business’s disaster resiliency and you’ll have the opportunity to ask questions of FEMA staff.
